Prevalence by age in the UK
The biggest term that comes into the discussion of dementia is age. Doctors, nurses and statistics have shown us multiple times that - "The older you are the more likely you are to develop the condition, but it is not an inevitable part of ageing."

This graph aims to show the effect of age on your risk of developing dementia, as well as, how many more women are living with dementia at older ages.

This graph aims to demonstrate the changing structure of the population of people living with dementia, results show that the largest increase will occur in the oldest age bracket of 80 and over.
